Bree Jonson (b. 1991, Philippines) obtained her Bachelor of Science, majoring in Industrial Engineering from Ateneo de Davao University in 2012 and pursued her ardour for painting afterwards. She paints mostly animals, part inspired from her early exposure to them, and part residue from her frequent shape-shifting dreams, where she shape-shifts into various animals, sometimes, even combing different species into one being. From there she realised that humanity wasn’t such a humdrum at all, for people act like, and are, animals.

Her most recent exhibitions were Art Fair Philippines 2014 and 2013, in Makati City; The Night Nebula, a group show in Paseo Gallery at A.R.T. Center, Mandaluyong City (2013); Dystera, a two man show with Jason Montinola at West Gallery (2013).
